Calling All Youth!

The Wesley Youth Groups are representative of the core values of Wesley United Church and all are welcome in this open space.

Staying in Touch and How to Get in Touch:

All our YOUTH events are put in the Bulletin. Because of the elevator construction the Youth Bulletin board was taken down. It will be back up we're just not sure where!!

Listen for updates each Sunday during announcements. E-mails about music with Rick and other events will be sent to your parents e-mail

Helping with the "little kids" in the Nursery:
We've been asked for the more senior youth, especially those who have completed the Baby-sitting course, to help out in infants and toddlers room. Playing, snacking, and helping out during the tidy-up-time is what's involved. Diaper changes are definetly by volunteer only! Talk to be big guy in there any week. It reeeeeeally helps if you sign-up in advance for the times that you're available.

It's always fun and just a little bit noisy!

Check out the Service Bulletin, and the bulletin board on the youth room door. Send an e-mail with questions. Suggestions are always welcome.

AS ALWAYS:
At times we need someone to say the lectionary readings (bible reading) during regular services. You need to be able to read out loud to the congregation, and you need to practice before to make sure you know the words - thats it!
Easy huh? Lets show the church we can do a great job of reading, and that we are part of Wesley too.

Each week we need an ACOLYTE (someone to light the Christ candle), one per week, every week. You need to be tall enough to reach the candle (actually there's a step stool to help) on the communion table, and be able to hold the brass taper steady enough to light the candle. Think you can do it? Give us a call.
